Tania Y. Ramirez
Attorney at Law
A Valley native who gained experience on both sides of the justice system and came home to serve her community.

About Attorney Tania Y. Ramirez
Tania Y. Ramirez is the owner and managing attorney of Tania Ramirez Law Group, PLLC, based in Mission, Texas. With over 10 years of legal experience, she has dedicated her career to serving the Rio Grande Valley community with passionate, bilingual legal representation.
Tania earned her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Certificate of Merit in Family Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
Before opening her own firm, Tania served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Hidalgo County Criminal District Attorney's Office from 2016 to 2018, where she prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases through jury trial. This experience as a former prosecutor gives her a unique strategic advantage — she knows exactly how the other side builds their cases.
Beyond the courtroom, Tania is deeply committed to public service. She was elected City Commissioner for District 4 in the City of McAllen in May 2019 — a commission recognized as the 2021 Council of the Year by the Texas City Management Association. In 2022, she ran for Hidalgo County Judge, earning 12,265 votes in the primary — a testament to the trust the community places in her leadership. She is also the Founder and President of H.E.L.P. (Here Everybody Loves People), a nonprofit providing emergency management services, food and water distribution, and community outreach to underserved populations in the RGV.
